

Last week something touching happened at Diha Clinic, the multi-speciality clinic at Nanganallur, Chennai.
A boy of about 12 was limping as he got down from the car with his father. I was watching the scene unfold.
Quick to spot the discomfort of the boy, Abhi, our security gentleman, rushed to the car and offered to wheel him in.
The boy declined the offer. Abhi held the door for him and then continued his work.
20 minutes later, the boy completed his consultation with our senior orthopaedist and came out of the doctor’s suite.
Abhi saw him through the glass door (the boy was still in some discomfort) and walked briskly towards the boy…. smiled, whispered something to him….lifted him gently and carried him up to the car, opened the door and gently lowered him in the front seat.
The boy was delighted, I was proud.
