Why you should do the DGCA tests?
A DGCA Class 2 Medical Fitness is essential for starting Flying Training as a Student Pilot. You must have a valid Class 2 Medicals Fitness before applying for Initial Class 1 Medicals A.
DGCA Class 1 Medical is a critical step for getting a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and for those CPL holders renewing their medical fitness annually. It’s important to maintain your medical certification for active flying.
The Medicals are conducted by DGCA empanelled Medical Examiner for the following:
(a) Renewal of Class I.
(b) Initial & Renewal Class 2.
(c) Initial & Renewal Class 3.
DGCA Medical Examiner at Diha Clinic, Chennai
Our DGCA Approved Medical Examiner, Dr. SG Swamy MBBS, MD (Aerospace Medicine), will conduct the Medical Examination. He retired as Surgeon Captain from Indian Navy and has a vast experience of 25 years as a Specialist.

The Examination will be conducted at Diha Clinic, No. 6, 6th Main Road (Opposite
Indian Bank), Nanganallur, Chennai – 600 061, a state-of-the-art, airconditioned, multi-
speciality centre with modern out-patient facilities. Our endeavour is to make your visit a
pleasant one under the care of our efficient and caring staff. It’s located close to the Chennai Airport.

To schedule a DGCA medical examination at Diha Clinic, Chennai, follow these steps:
A) Send a request to schedule a medical appointment by Whatsapp No. 8884411173 or E-Mail: swamydgca@gmail.com.
B) Appointment will be confirmed within one working day. A detailed process of medicals will be shared with the Pilot / Student Pilot / ATCO. The investigations required and the documents to be brought for the appointment will also be briefed.
C) Registration on eGCA (DGCA website) is mandatory before coming for Medical Examination.
The steps for registration will be shared.
D) All Investigations including Blood, Urine, X-Ray, ECG, Audiometry, ENT & Eye Checks can be done while you come to the Clinic. Additional investigations may be required for some candidates, if clinically indicated. The laboratory at Diha Clinic is NABL certified.
As Per DGCA Guidelines Class I (Renewals Only) and Class 2 (Initial & Renewals) & 3 (Initial & Renewals) medical examination are as per the advice of DGCA guidelines only.
If required, additional tests have to be done as per their protocol. Female candidates will be offered a chaperone (female) to assist.
Fees
Highly rebated packages are available for DGCA Class 1 & 2 Medicals.
Class 1 Package (Rebated for CPL Holders)
A. DGCA Medical Examination / Online submission etc: Rs 4000
B. DGCA Age Specific Investigations: Ask for discounted package at Diha Clinic or A la-carte’ c. Eye Checkup by Eye Specialist (if applicable): Rs 500.
Class 2 Package (Rebated for Student Pilots): Rs.5800
Breakdown A. DGCA Specified Investigations and DGCA Medical Exam/ Online submission etc: Rs.5450 B. Eye Checkup by Eye Specialist: Rs 350
Duration
Class 1: Usually 1 Day with Medical Examiner if all investigation reports (as mandated) are ready.
Class 2: Usually on a 2 Day process where Day 1 is for conduct of all investigations, eye check and collection of reports. Day 2 is the appointment with DGCA Medical Examiner. Additional test, if indicated may take more time.
Medical Certificate
Medical Certificate (CA-35) will be issued by DGCA Empanelled Medical Examiner.
Payment
Payment for the medical check shall be made by cash / card by the Pilot / Student Pilot to Diha Clinic on the day of the Investigation / Medical check-up. Special Rebated Packages are available.
